Its time for a biike in India

Ratan Tata got inspired on seeing a family of four riding in a bike on a rainy day and decided to go for an ambitious 1 lakh car project. His dream car NANO got the life but the families continue to ride in scooters and bikes and haven’t shifted to Nano in masses as desired by TATA.

Meanwhile Nano’s marketing team too changed the focus from the families in small towns waiting for Nano to youngsters driving around for a cup of chai admiring its features.

Back to the focus on the family of four riding on a bike, if they are not shifting to car, will the two wheeler majors at least make them happy with better seat design as the children sitting at the front has to be on the top of fuel tank in bike or have to stand in the scooter most of the times.

To borrow it from Nissan’s CAAR ads, these families not just need a bike, they need a BIIKE. Will the Indian two wheeler majors Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp or TVS Motors jump in?
